Classes in The Crystal Bonds
Sage: A promotion for the Mage or Cleric. Sages use anima magic and staves, and they have the highest magic stat, along with good speed, skill, and luck, though their strength is lacking.
Playable Sages: Pim
Dark Knight: A promotion for male Dark Mages. Dark Knights have nice HP, and good magic and strength for heavy dark magic, to offset poor defenses and speed.
Strategist: A promotion for Troubadours. Strategists sacrifice more skill and speed for extra defense and HP, more magic, and a point more in movement.
Maid/Butler: A promotion for Troubadours. Maids and Butlers are the only class that can reach an S rank in staves, and one of the few classes to use knives, a promotion only weapon.
Sorcerer: A promotion for Dark Mages. Sorcerers are the only class that can use two types of magic, and they also have nice mixed bulk and strength to hold heavy tomes.
Assassin: A promotion for Outlaws and Myrmidons. Assassins have high skill, decent strength, and bad defenses patched by high evasion. Their primary weapon is bows, but they also use swords.
Playable Assassins: Joan
Ranger: A promotion for Archers. Rangers are fast and have very high resistance, built for slaying magic units, but they have significantly less skill than snipers.
Terra Master: A promotion for Terra Cure. Terra Masters are balanced in their use of axes and anima magic, but none of their stats are extremely high. They cannot use staves like Terra Cure.
Griffon Rider: A promotion for Eagle Riders. Griffon Riders are almost identical to Griffon Riders, designed to blitz the opponent with high speed and attack.
Kinshi Knight: A promotion for Eagle Riders. Kinshi Knights have the highest resistance and luck of any flier class, but they are the slowest of that group as well. They use bows and lances.
Falcon Knight: A promotion for Pegasus Knights. Falcon Knights are the most balanced of the flier classes, but they still tend to be low on defense and HP. Upon promotion, they can use staves.
Dark Falcon: A promotion for Pegasus Knights. Dark Falcon is a more offensive class than Falcon Knight, using magic and lances to defeat enemies, at the expense of what bulk the class had left.
Wyvern Lord: A promotion for Wyvern Riders. An even more bulky wyvern class, Wyvern Lords give up more of their resistance to become total damage sponges wielding axes and lances.
Playable Wyvern Lords: Hernanda
Wyvern Stormer: A promotion for Wyvern Riders. A wyvern class that gains a little resistance and drops a lot of luck and some speed for the use of anima magic. It also keeps its axe proficiency.
Hero: A promotion for Mercenaries. A more skilled mercenary with the ability to wield axes and swords, Heroes are quite efficient at ridding the field of any foe due to their solid stat spread.
Bow Knight: A promotion for Mercenaries. A class for mercenary that allows firing a bow on horseback. Bow Knights have less defense and HP than Heroes, but more resistance and speed.
Paladin: A promotion for Cavaliers. Paladins continue the cavalier trend of being well-rounded, though Paladins lean a tad towards speed, skill, and resistance. They use swords and lances still.
Playable Paladins: Michael
Great Knight: A promotion for Cavaliers and Knights. Rulers of the weapon triangle, Great Knights have high defense and HP, as well as stellar strength, in exchange for low resistance and speed.
Playable Great Knights: Gill
General: A promotion for Knights. The highest defense belongs to these behemoths. Generals use axes and lances, absorbing physical blows big or small, then countering with great force.
Swordmaster: A promotion for Myrmidons. Swordmasters are the most evasive class in the game, and their skill, luck, and strength mean they can avoid the enemy and easily strike with a critical.
War Monk/Cleric: A promotion for Clerics and Terra Cure. War Monks and War Clerics are an axe wielding class with access to staves. They have good strength, fairly good magic, and low defense.
Berserker: A promotion for Fighters. Berserkers copy Fighters in every way. Their insanely high strength and HP, with their good speed and skill, makes a deadly cannon, albeit a fragile one.
Warrior: A promotion for Fighters. Warriors sacrifice a little skill, speed, and HP for skill, defense, and resistance that is superior to that of a Berserker.
Playable Berserkers: Bergundy
Adventurer: A promotion for Outlaws. Adventurers are a supportive class that heals and cracks open locks while other allies defend them. Their high speed and luck makes them very evasive.
Sniper: A promotion for Archers. With the highest skill in the game, Snipers make critical hits with no fear of being countered by melee foes. They are still in serious danger when up close.
Playable Snipers: Crystal
Witch: A promotion for female Dark Mages. Witches have the highest magic in the game, their speed allows them to double attack at high power, but a single successful counter can mean their defeat.
